Local Activities

In December 2021, the Italian group met to keep on working on the script of their performance.

Sensations and opinions about ATENEA project have been collected from the beneficiaries in short interviews.

In 

On the 22nd January 2022, the Italian team had a new local activity.

Beneficiaries, led by the art director and the project coordinator, worked on improvisation. At the end of the workshop, they talked about the next steps for the creation of their theatre piece. The performance is taking shape!

On 6th February the Italian team met for another local activity. Beneficiaries led by the art director and Les Cultures coordinator worked on ATENEA methodology. They started the meeting sharing ideas about the realization of the performance. After some warm-up activities they worked on improvisation.

On the 16th February 2022, EMYF organised a new session to prepare the local performance that will be held in Berlin, in the framework of the ATENEA project. The performance is designed to bring to attention the discrimination and stigmatization of vulnerable and diverse women, emphasizing inclusion.

Euro-Med Youth Federation is organising the local performance in Berlin, Germany, in the framework of the

International Women’s Day 2022. 
The local performance will present the story of women refugees from different countries that came to Europe by boat and faced different challenges.
The main target group addressed by the play is formed by women from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, young women who experienced difficult situations in their families such as unemployment, poverty and early school leaving.

Euro-Med Youth Federation organized the local performance in Berlin, Germany, on the 8th March 2022, as a celebration of the International Women’s Day 2022.

The local performance "Autobiographical theatre: Refugee Women's Power and Vulnerability" presented the story of women refugees from different countries that came to Europe by boat and faced different challenges.

Name of the Lithuanian play is “When I breathe, I think of you”: a journey through time that starts on the seaside.

Six different women are united to fight their inner demons and social stigmas to seek for self-acceptance and foothold in the society. They tell their unique and at the same time similar experiences of childhood, youth and current moment through physical performance and sounds.

Entrepreneurship Institute - ENTRI team is preparing for organizing the Autobiographical theatre play.

The Italian group is getting closer and closer to the final version of its theatrical piece!

Sunday's rehearsals took place in Milan, where the team has been hosted by Proxima Res Theatre School.

Premiere: 21 May 2022, h 21.00, Spazio Teatro Invito (Lecco).

On 16th May the Italian partner Les Cultures had a workshop about Atenea methodology in Lecco, at the Provincial Center for Adult Education and Training.

The participants were 8 Italian L2 teachers. They were glad about the chance to attend the workshop and provided important suggestions for the implementation of the project.

The premiere of the Italian performance "Frammenti e futuro" that took place il Lecco on 21st May was a true success!

The audience took active part in the event sharing thoughts and whishes. Each contribution enriched the work done in the past months by actors-beneficiaries, director and Les Cultures staff member.

The Greek performance by K.A.NE. , was scheduled on 4 July,  based on the experiences of four women and two men. In "The Puzzle", six different stories intertwine with each other somewhere in a bar in Greece in 2022. Unemployment gets married with personal and social implications. 

It was a really nice performance that attracted many locals that would like to know more about the Autobiographical Theater.

Last 29th June , in Valencia , Àmbit Associació, has held the local workshop in the framework of the Atenea Project in which director #DomingoFerrandis presented the methodology of the

𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗿á𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗼 , talking about the trip we've enjoyed together with our European members .

The coordinator, #AnaMariaSolís also helped the participants to explore possible future collaborations with organizations that work with vulnerable groups. #ÀmbitAssociació wants to continue with autobiographical theatre as a tool for #inclusion' and #SocialJustice.
